The Laboratory of Automation and Robotics (LAR) develops activities related to automation and robotics. This laboratory aims teaching/research and extension activities related to serial, parallel, and mobile robots, including humanoids. Mechatronic projects are also developed.

LAR also works in teaching and researching in the line of biorobotics with patients who have suffered fractures of the upper and/or lower limbs, CVA, or who have cerebral palsy.

Projects with elementary and high schools are developed in the extension activities. The lab also constructs robots for participation in national and international competitions.
